Stampede travel to Las Vegas, Nevada for AAU/UHU National Championships

The Syracuse Stampede, winner of the NSHL Cup, will head out to Las Vegas Nevada to play for the AAU/UHU National Championship against the top teams from the WSHL and MWJHL

The Syracuse Stampede will head to Las Vegas, Nevada for the AAU/UHU National Championships April 5th-9th after winning the Inaugural ‘NSHL Cup’.  The round robin tournament will feature the top Junior ‘A’ teams from the Western States Hockey League (WSHL), Mid West Junior Hockey League(MWJHL) and the Northern States Junior Hockey League (NSHL). 

In the first of three quarterfinal games for the Stampede, they will face the Hartland Hounds, winner of the MWJHL’s Veterans Memorial Cup.  Hartland finished the regular season with an impressive undefeated  season (47-0-1). Game time is set for Friday 1:10pm at the Las Vegas Ice Arena.  In the second game, Syracuse will take on Tennyson Chevrolet, the MWJHL’s runner up, Saturday at 10:10am.  The third game will be a rematch of the NSHL Cup finals between the Stampede and the Lake George Fighting Spirit and will take place Sunday at 4:40pm. 
The semi-final matchups will take place on Monday and will be dependent on the quarterfinal results.  The UHU/AAU National Championship game is scheduled for Tuesday.
